
Full Day Safari in Ranthambore and Half Day Safari in Ranthambore
Ranthambore National Park offers special safari services that are available for full days and half days. Similarly to other national parks in India, the Forest Department started offering half day & Full Day safari in Ranthambore in 2016. In Ranthambore National Park, half-day and full-day safaris are available only in zones 6 to 10. Apart from regular 3-hour morning and afternoon safaris, half-day and full-day safaris are also available. For tourists with full days and half days, zones 1 through 5 will be accessible, while zones 6 to 10 will only be accessible in the remaining time.
As of October 1, 2019, new rules have been introduced for full-day and half-day safaris in Ranthambore National Park. During general safari time, tourists will now be able to spend three-and-a-half hours in zones 1 to 5 during full-day and half-day safaris, while the remainder will be spent in zones 6 to 10 of Ranthambore.
Safari services have been banned in safari zones 1 to 5 of Ranthambore and are now only available in safari zones 6 to 10. Earlier, safari services were offered in all safari zones of Ranthambore, but they have now been banned. In general safaris, tourists can access zones 1 to 5 only during general safari time, while the rest of the time only zones 6 to 10 will be accessible. Under this service, a maximum of five Jeeps are allowed into the park. Visitors to tourist safari zones 6 to 10 are allowed to roam freely in GPS-monitored vehicles. Only the guide and driver can go in a Jeep with a maximum of five passengers.
A full day or half-day safari is not restricted in the Safari Zone. The park offers 6 to 10 safari zones for visitors to explore. The normal safari time permits them to visit zones 1 to 5 as well. For a full-day and half-day safari, you can enter the park 15 minutes before and leave it 15 minutes after the regular safari.
Private jeeps are available for half-day safaris from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Meanwhile, a full-day safari brings you to Ranthambore National Park for 12 hours between 6 am and 6 pm. Ranthambore Jeep safaris are more expensive during half days and full days.
Safari Booking
